Client’s question:

We are going to build a house in Deurle. It is a large villa with a very large basement and two floors. For now, we already want music in 16 rooms (the garden will be added at a later stage) and TV in six rooms. We want to be able to watch any video source in any room and switch seamlessly between rooms. We want easy controls and the wifi should also be perfect from the basement to the top floor.

Elaboration:

The client contacted us the moment the structural works were nearing completion. Once the electrician was chosen, there were very regular consultations with the interior designer and all other parties involved, sometimes individually but also through on-site meetings.

A very important point in the whole project was the aesthetics. In the entrance hall, for instance, we chose totally invisible loudspeakers which were plastered and painted over. As much attention as possible was also paid to the invisibility of the speakers in the other areas.

In the lounge, a high-quality surround system was provided with front speakers also concealed in the ceiling. The 65-inch Oled TV by Loewe was adapted by me so that it can be used as a centre speaker. At the back, KEF CI200QS speakers were chosen. This gives a full sound and a real cinema experience.

Given the size and stucture of the building, we installed a total of eleven roaming access points from Alcatel-Lucent for perfect wifi coverage wherever you go in the house.
